Holy Child Jesus Parish Christmas Giving Tree drive begins on the weekend of December 1st. Your generous donations of gifts and gift cards will be given to families in need. Are you curious about where God might be calling you? We’re excited to invite young men ages 13-20 to Who Will Fill These Shoes? — a special event hosted by the Archdiocese of Chicago. This is a unique opportunity to explore the priesthood, ask questions, and connect with other young men open to discovering God’s plan for their lives.

Holy Hour Eucharistic Adoration will be held at various parishes across our Archdiocese from Monday, November 4th, through Saturday, November 9th. Please refer to the attached poster or check this week’s bulletin for dates and locations. Let us come together in faith, entrusting our prayers to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for more vocations to the priesthood, religious life, and holy matrimony.

Today, we celebrate that the Church continues to go out to the ends of the earth with the invitation of Jesus. As we gather on World Mission Sunday, along with Catholics around the globe, our prayers and our contributions to the Society for the Propagation of the Faith foster global missionary cooperation, enabling the pastoral and evangelizing work of the Church. This includes building churches, providing healthcare and education and training future priests and religious. Thank you for going out to everyone, everyone, everyone and extending the invitation to communion with Christ.

An ofrenda table will be setup in church to commemorate all those who have died. Please bring a framed photograph of your loved one to church or the rectory between October 27th and November 1st. Photos will be displayed from November 1st until November 24th.

Next weekend, we celebrate World Mission Sunday, a powerful reminder of our call to be missionary disciples. The contributions given for the World Mission Sunday collection are crucial for sustaining the Church’s work in over 1,150 territories where the Church is young or struggling.

Our dedicated scouts will be taking orders for beautiful $35 Christmas wreaths after Mass on the weekend of October 26th & 27th. Let these festive wreaths fill your home with the joy and peace of Christ’s coming! Wreaths can be picked up after Mass on November 23rd or 24th, or during the Pancake Breakfast on December 1st. Your support helps the troop continue their work in building leadership and service. Thank you for your generosity and prayers.

There will be blessing of Animals on Sunday, October 6 at 2:30 P.M. in the small parking lot in front of the rectory.

Free Flu shots will be available on Sunday, September 29th, from 8:00am to 2:00pm in the Activity Center.

This month’s regular Tagalog Mass, we will celebrate the Feast of San Lorenzo Ruiz on Sunday, September 29th at 5:00pm.

If you missed Alpha's first gathering, you can still join us THIS Saturday from 12:00-2:00pm in the Activity Center Meeting Room. Alpha is welcome to ALL!

It’s not too late! We welcome non-baptized adults who are considering entering the Catholic Church and baptized Catholics who wish to complete their Sacraments of Initiation (Holy Eucharist and Confirmation). We also welcome Catholics who would like to study their faith more deeply.

This Thursday, August 15th, we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is a Holy Day of Obligation. There will be a bilingual 8:00am, a Mass in English at 5:00pm and a Mass in Vietnamese at 7:00pm.
