The Children’s Religious Education Program at Holy Child Jesus Parish helps children grow in their Catholic faith through lessons, Scriptures, prayer, and sacrament preparation. Students not only learn about their faith but also learn how to live it through worship and service. We work in partnership with parents, who are the primary educators of their child’s faith, to build a strong spiritual foundation that will guide them throughout life.
We offer grade-level classes (K – 8th Grade). Each grade builds upon the next, helping children grow in their faith step by step. Consistent enrollment ensures a complete and well-rounded faith formation experience leading up to the sacraments.
Class sessions are held on Saturday afternoons from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm.
Sacrament Preparation
This is a two-year process that typically begins in first grade, with students receiving their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in second grade. For older students who have not yet received these sacraments, we will work with families to determine the best path for their preparation.
Confirmation preparation is a two-year process that typically begins in seventh grade, with students receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation in eighth grade. For older students who have not yet been confirmed, we will work with families to determine the best path for their preparation.
