Leadership Academy Registration is now OPEN!

Ignited Youth Ministry is introducing a new Leadership Academy for all students entering 8th-12th Grade. This program offers continued faith formation in addition to and after receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. We are calling ALL teens and young adults to become leaders in their parish!

Our IYM Leadership Academy offers formation, training, and community for any youth, teen, or young adult that wants to pursue learning pastoral leadership and deepen their faith life through the four pillars of ministry: service, worship, faith formation, and social. Programs will meet in person once a month to discuss faith, catechetical topics, and check-in with their program requirements progress.

We offer 4 programs:
Leader-In-Training: 8th Grade
Discipleship Learning: 9th & 10th Grade
Peer Ministry: 11th and 12th Grade
Youth Minister Formation: Young Adults

At the end of the program, teens who successfully fulfills all the requirements and complete the program will receive a certificate from the parish. All programs will begin in September 2023 and end in May 2024. More information for each program can be found on our parish website at hcjp.org/leadership-academy.

Please REGISTER HERE. It is highly recommended that both the youth applicant and a parent/guardian complete this form together.

We acknowledge that the lives of youth are very busy today, so there is some flexibility at the discretion of the team. Youth are able to put this program on their resume and ask the program director for a reference for a college or job application.

*This program is a supplement for faith formation, NOT a replacement for Religious Education and receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.
